What a wonderful day in Lake Placid for Chris+Ashley’s Whiteface Club wedding! We just love Lake Placid! Ashley’s family does too – from hockey, lacrosse, family reunions growing up. LP reminds Chris of home in the Pacific Northwest – rivers, mountains, etc.
They met in Nashville in the Spring of 2009 when Ashley took a girls trip from Chicago to visit a friend in grad school at Vanderbilt; dated long distance for three years while Chris finished his career in the Army Special Operations; following service, Chris joined Ashley in Chicago. Chris proposed under a bridge in Central Park (NYC), just before Christmas of 2013. Full rundown here: http://www.gersukmurphywedding.com/our-wedding.
Every generation on Ashley’s side of the family had a sapphire ring on.
Ashley and her family went all the way to China to find this lace material.
Flowers were done by family friend David Micheal Schmidt.
Accessories were Pearl/Diamond earrings given to her by her parents for college graduation, Necklace borrowed from her mother, bracelet borrowed from Godmother Aunnie Kay.
We just love the moments right before the ceremony.
Just look at that amazing view.
