I suppose its difficult to link the story of Sleepy Hollow and the headless horseman to a wonderful and beautiful wedding, but as the leaves change and Autumn settles in it does sort of seem fitting. This being my first time at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club and in the area of lore that is the short story by Washington Irving The legend of Sleepy Hollow I know it was on my mind or to say “haunting” me all day. And I suppose the overcast skies and long shadows at dusk gave me the sense that at any moment the story could come back to life. How’s that for romantic?
Luckily, the headless horseman did not make an appearance and I can only say that this Sleepy Hollow wedding was a story of joy, heart and cheer. Larissa and her bridesmaids had more than a few laughs while getting their hair and makeup done, while Jake the guys got serious with a friendly game of cards. I’m not sure what the stakes were, but someone literally lost their pants.
This Sleepy Hollow wedding was nothing close to the tale of Sleepy Hollow but I can confidently say that for everyone involved it was legend. So glad to be a part of this Sleepy Hollow wedding story and part of a great team that helped put the story together.
Thank you both for allowing us to share your Sleepy Hollow Country Club wedding!
