What are your wedding colors and/or themes? Pinks, whites and metallics. We wanted the wedding to feel like a Vintage English Garden Party – very clean and classic with a touch of glamour introduced by the metallics.

What is your inspiration when planning your wedding? We wanted the wedding to feel cozy and family oriented, we only invited around 100 guests so we wanted the vibe to be intimate. Since we and most of our guests live in New York City, we wanted to take advantage of being outdoors, so we opted to not have tents when possible and to have as many flowers and plants incorporated as possible.

Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements? We love to read so we wanted to incorporate books in some way – we gave every guest a book with a handwritten inscription inside the cover. We displayed these on a bookshelf and the inside cover of the books also indicated the table numbers. Instead of a guest book we asked our guests to either provide relationship advice or write an inscription in an antique atlas giving us travel ideas.

Did you include any special traditions, old or new? We tried to do as ‘non-traditional’ as possible, but we incorporated an Irish Blessing to celebrate the father of the bride’s heritage and a poem by Kahlil Gibran as homage to the mother of the groom’s roots.

This wedding was absolutely beautiful, and exactly what people think of when they want a waterfront wedding. We truly had a blast capturing it all, and are excited to share the wedding photos below!
