What an amazing wedding from the Inns of Aurora! As we’ve shared on here many times, the Inns of Aurora are incredibly special to us. It’s where my husband and I were married, and our youngest daughter is named Aurora after the town. Our house may someday charge admission as a Mackenzie-Childs museum. So it’s always a pleasure to go back to shoot, but especially so with Caroline+Matt’s over-the-top epic wedding. You’ll see why below.
Matt and Caroline met one of the first days of Cornell orientation, in the fall of 2007. They sat a few seats away in their freshman discussion group of their college, the School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Caroline sporting J-Crew and listening intently; Matthew wearing Birkenstocks and already talking too much. Across the room of eager freshmen faces they exchanged glances that day, not realizing it would lead us to this incredible weekend in Central NY with all their friends+family. And what a day it was!
Caroline’s grandmothers ring was “something old”
Her dress choice was spot on
Off to the ceremony site at Sage Chapel on Cornell campus
We went around Cornell campus to some favorite spots for portraits
Romantic moments from them throughout the day
The tent, the details, and rentals made an already gorgeous wedding venue just POP
Rustic Chic with burgundy, mustard and gold.
We just love all this furniture they brought in!
Caroline+Matt enjoyed a Honeymoon in South Africa and currently enjoying married life in their West Village New York apartment.
What an amazing day at this Aurora Inn wedding, and we were honored to have been a part of it. Thank you for allowing us to capture+share your images!
