What are your wedding colors and/or themes?
Being that we were in Lake Placid, and at a lodge, I wanted to keep it rustic. I like the Lodge itself, so the rustic theme seemed appropriate. The colors I used were navy, ivory, taupe, and white. A simple and classic color scheme.

What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
We wanted to have a wedding unlike any other that we had been to. I love the idea of a ski lodge…. it just seemed cozy, romantic and intimate. Those were the traits we wanted to capture from this gorgeous place.

Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements?
We didn’t want to do the traditional guest book, we wanted to do something unique. As a result we went with empty wine bottles with 1,3,5 for people to write advice for us to open on these anniversaries. Also keeping with the vintage theme, we gave out old antique looking keys that were bottle openers as a wedding favor.

Did you include any special traditions, old or new?
It’s been a tradition in my family that at any major family function my Grandfather says grace before we eat…. So before our dinner he got up and said grace, blessed us, and it was special.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We had the most amazing wedding that we could of ever hoped for! Katie and Josh did the most amazing job capturing our special day, I couldn’t thank them enough and would recommend them time and time again. Also we want to thank everyone who joined us on our special day and hope it was a memory they will never forget we know we won’t!

Thanks to Jill for the narration, and to Josh+team for the killer video… now it’s time for the photos!
