We are so excited to have Loneke+Darien’s State Room Albany wedding photos featured on the blog this afternoon! Loneke+Darien planned a gorgeous event and we had a blast capturing the wedding photos for this Downtown Albany wedding. Loneke was kind enough to give us the run down of their vision in planning the wedding so we’ll let her take it from here before you dive in to these State Room Albany wedding photos!

What are your wedding colors and/or themes?
Our wedding colors were fuchsia, navy, gold, ivory.

What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
Inspiration for planning: The garden in midsummer night’s dream by Shakespeare. I wanted to communicate a warm glowing feeling, with garden-like elements and pillar candles. Of course I needed to have some sparkle too, so my sparkling gold table numbers were handmade by a dear friend, and the head table was covered in my must-have item, a sequined gold table cloth.

Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements?

To go along with my inspiration I found a garden-inspired signature cocktail. We featured a blackberry lavender cocktail that incorporated fresh blackberries, mint, and lavender-infused simple syrup. The ceremony programs had a flowers and vine motif, while wedding stationary (invitations, menus, save the dates) were had a dark mysterious navy background and flowers that looked painted on from Wedding Paper Divas. The gold envelopes gave that formal feeling and contrast. The guest book (the wooden plaque with leaves for guests to sign) was handmade & continued the theme of incorporating nature.

Did you include any special traditions, old or new?
Something old (mother’s garter), new (dress), borrowed (diamond tennis bracelet from my American grandmother Mrs. Sybil Johnson) & blue (garter)

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
I knew my dress was the one, other than my new husband, when I saw it. Hands down, it delivered the drama, warm and lush feeling I wanted the whole event to communicate. The State Room made our experience easy from start to finish. We chose Clark + Walker because we loved the feelings captured by their photography. Having Katie and her team on the day of our wedding captured the momentousness of this occasion. We’ll have memories that we’ll cherish for a lifetime!

Thank you both so much for allowing us to capture your Albany wedding photos at the State Room!
