We’re so happy to kick the weekend off with Vanessa+Nick’s gorgeous Hall of Springs wedding photos! Vanessa was kind enough to write some info for the blog which we’ve shared below (this is our favorite when couples do this):
What are your wedding colors and/or themes?
While we didn’t have a defined “theme,” we knew we wanted our wedding to be classic and neutral and so our main colors were black and ivory with touches of gold.

What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
Our main influence for the wedding was a cross between the tasteful extravagance of gilded era weddings and the powerful energy of old Hollywood glamour. We felt that this style not only was a perfect fit for our personalities, but was also a great environment for Saratoga Springs and specifically for our venue, the Hall of Springs.

Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements?
While we had a number of different design elements, we consistently received feedback that the family tree that we put together for cocktail hour was a huge hit. The tree, which went all the way back to the mid-1800’s, included wedding / couples photos and biographical information from both the bride & groom’s side and culminated with our engagement photo. Our guests (particularly family) appreciated the opportunity to take a stroll down memory lane and to celebrate our family history in the moment.

Second to the family tree was probably the sparkler sendoff. We had known all along that our families were going to make sure that the Hall of Springs was a rockin’ party. We chose a sparkler sendoff to make sure that the night ended with fireworks!

Finally, we did include a signature cocktail; the Cucumber Fizz! Our favorite drink, this refreshing concoction mixes gin, soda, muddle cucumber & edelflower liquor!

Did you include any special traditions, old or new?
Yes, we incorporated a number of family heirlooms and traditions. Our Cake Topper had been used on wedding cakes in the bride’s family for over 60 years. In addition, the bride’s earrings as well as the candelabra used during the ceremony belonged to the bride’s great grandmother.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
There’s so much we loved about our wedding that we could share here and so little time. With that being said, we want to thank all of our vendors (especially Clark+Walker Studio) for their patience and to commend them on doing such a wonderful job making our special day so very special! Finally, we’d like to thank our family & friends for all of the love and support, not only on the day of our wedding, but for all of the years gone by and for many to come.

Another stunningly beautiful C+W bride!

I love these real moments as the ceremony starts

Butta light!

The Hall of Springs is one of the premier wedding venues in all of the Northeast, and you can see why when you style the room like this

These 2 just had so much fun from the beginning of the day to the end – an absolute joy to be a part of their wedding!
