What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
Our vision was for an elegant but intimate event. The Gideon Putnam provided most of the backdrop with its historic exterior architecture but modern ballroom. This allowed us to focus on the feeling of our special day with our officiant, DJ, and coordinator, rather than the decor.

What are your wedding colors?
Navy, blush pink, and gold.

Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements?
Our families have very distinct heritages, and came from all over the world to attend our wedding (Australia, India, Sweden). We enjoy traveling ourselves, so we incorporated these things into our guest book and had a guest globe instead as a unique, fun keepsake. For our favors, we included an elephant from India as a nod to Zubin’s family, and olive oil from Saratoga as a nod to us growing up in the Capital Region.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Zubin and I have been together since high school so our friends overlap, and we had already met many of each others family and family friends. We knew that everyone’s attendance would be a highlight of the night and that the day goes so much faster than you think it will, so planning an after-party was a no-brainer. We were so happy we did; many good memories were made dancing up a storm late into the night!

We are so grateful for all our vendors, they made our wedding the perfect day that it was! Special thank you to the C+W team for capturing all the big scheduled moments, and small nuanced ones.
