We’re extremely excited to unveil Julie+Malcom’s amazing Ausable Club wedding video! Julie was kind enough to narrate things through her eyes before you dive into the video:
Over a century ago, our great-grandparents built camps in the Adirondacks. Malcolm and I bonded on our very first date in Boston over the fact that we spent our summers swimming, rowing and fishing on our respective lakes, hiking the trails, and enjoying time with family and friends. When choosing our wedding venue, we knew immediately that we wanted to bring all of our family and friends to the place we hold so dear in our hearts and have made so many memories together since our first date. Our goal was to host all of our guests at our venue for the weekend, in its unique and rustic cottages, to be able to enjoy the lakes, go for a hike and play a round of golf or two. We were inspired by the mountains and forests when planning the design and feel of our wedding by sticking to a natural color palette of green and ivory with a hint of blush and incorporating lots of greenery, wood, and natural floral elements. We added “camp” details in unique ways by having bonfires and s’mores, pack baskets bursting with flowers, compass escort cards and table cards named after the High Peaks, a canoe filled with beer, and sparklers. To top it all off, we had two amazing bands keeping us dancing throughout the weekend and a delicious surf and turf menu to symbolize our two homes, the ADKs and Boston. Most importantly, you could just feel the love and joy from our friends and family that weekend and, in particular, between Malcolm and me, as we celebrated our union.
