Today we’re featuring one of my favorite weddings of 2015 – Amanda+Audra’s gorgeous oceanfront wedding in Newport, RI. I’ve enjoyed every part of the planning process with these 2, they’re just great people and as we found on the wedding day – so fun to be around. The connection they shared, the love, was just obvious from the minute we got there, and the setting in which they chose was perfect not only because of it’s stunning beauty, but also because of how much it meant to them. The cliffs in front of the private property were so special to them that we actually spent the next day tanning and swimming on them before we drove back. In addition, as if things couldn’t get any better, they ended the night with a classic Phish tune set to lights and smoke machine. Two beautiful brides, one of the nicest days all year, killer details, and the entire C+W team meant a feature that I’ve personally prepped for a while. I’m finally ready to share a wedding that was so special. Enjoy!
What are your wedding colors and/or themes? Whites and neutrals.
How did you meet? Do you have a special proposal story? Amanda and I met at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A place we adore dearly. We were instantly best friends. Amanda proposed to me 10 years later on the beach in Costa Rica. Somehow I was completely surprised.
What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
We were lucky enough to host our wedding at one of our favorite places in the world. We were married on the cliffs above our favorite beach, where we have spent almost every one of our 11 anniversaries prior to getting married. It meant so much to us to celebrate the beginning of our marriage with all of our friends and family at a place that has so much meaning to our relationship.
Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements?
We wanted our wedding to be very personal. We also didn’t want to detract from the beautiful setting. We pulled elements from the surrounding area.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We love Luke and his team. (editors note: or course I’m going to include this!!)

There’s always nervous energy before the dresses come on, but this moment as they look out at everything together right before they start the day was one of my favorite captures of the day.
