What are your wedding colors and/or themes?
We wanted our wedding to have a bit of an Adirondack theme with our main color being plum. Amber’s grandfather helped make a lot of the wooden pieces that we used for menu and dessert displays, to name a few.

What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
Every step of the way we kept reminding ourselves that we wanted to plan a big party for all of our friends and family. This kept us going during the stressful times.

Did you include any special traditions, old or new?
Jonny’s grandmother recently passed away so his mom lent me a bracelet that she had owned. Which counted for my something borrowed, old, and blue.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
In lieu of doing traditional favors, we donated the money to the rescue where we adopted our dog. We also provided dog bone cookies for each guest with a note welcoming them to donate as well. Overall, we wanted to make sure we had personal touches anywhere we could. One of our best friends married us, Jonny’s cousin performed some of our favorite songs for the ceremony, our dog sat front row, and all of our desserts were made by family and friends since it’s difficult to beat the homemade taste.
